Dandelion Wine (Grand Master Editions) Customer Review: Pure Enjoyment!
I read this book every couple of years or so, it’s like a dear old friend. It captures the joys of childhood that are locked in the memory of most adults.
Thankyou Ray Bradbury for many happy hours of reading!
Customer Review: What a Summer is Made Of
They say childhood ends when you start to remember it. Twelve year old Douglas is on the verge of this moment. He is realizing that summer is made of certain sounds, sights, smells, experiences. But somehow he also realizes that — once past childhood — we notice these glories much less often. Afraid of losing these things, he begins to keep a diary off all that he learns, all that he notices, all that happens.

This book is nothing short of magical. Bradbury captures the essence of summer seen through the eyes of a child who is gently leaving childhood behind. You will remember the small American town and its inhabitants for years after you’ve turned the last page. Simply said, you must read this book. Steal from your children’s piggy bank to buy it if you must, but you have to read this book. You will not be disappointed.

Last of the Summer Wine: Four Original BBC Television Episodes - Starring Bill Owen, Peter Sallis and Brian Wilde v. 1 (BBC Radio Collection) Customer Review: The Very Best of Last Of The Summer Wine !
This is one of the best audio cassettes offered by the BBC. It features 12 of the very best episodes of the World’s longest running comedy series. Volumes 1, 2 and 3 have been repackaged and issued in this special gift set. All the episodes have a linking script added by Peter Sallis, which is just as witty as the programs themselves, and it really helps you to imagine what is going on, such as Compo dangleing from a railway bridge, or Nora Batty hitting the trio with a broom. So buy this collection, and spend many happy hours with Compo, Clegg, Foggy and Truly!
Customer Review: The prefect way to take a relaxing trip to the heart of York
This audio book has given me many hours of enjoyment at home and while driving along the highways. The voice of Peter Sallis was made for story telling. He has a natural ability to help you visualize the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. You can almost smell the moors as he brings into focus the mischief making of the three main characters and their friends. The main characters are Compo, Clegg (played by Peter Sallis), and Truly. Their purpose in life is to walk the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, talk of the days when they were young, and create as much chaos, mischief, and excitement as they can. In these four half hour episodes you will enjoy adventure after adventure of some of the funniest comedy you will ever hear. I recommend this book to any one who wants to relax and take a wonderful trip to the Yorkshire Moors.
